Τhe upcoming group exhibition RELIEF, opening on June 18th at the underground space of Gonia in Exarcheia, Athens. A collaboration between LABPIREE SUPERSTUDIO and REFIN Ceramiche, the exhibition explores materiality, city textures, and emotional release.

The title RELIEF unfolds multiple meanings — emotional unburdening, surface impressions, moments of tension and release — offering a powerful framework for contemporary artistic expression.

As part of this show, I will be presenting my work FYSO (2025), a 3D printed sculpture placed on an illuminated floor installation. The piece captures the exact moment before relief — that internal pressure, the silent tension just before emotional eruption. The face carries the expression of a held breath, while the rest of the body remains calm, looking upward toward the universe and the same light that symbolizes birth and rebirth. It is about the breath held before a laugh, before a cry, the breath we hold underwater before emerging.

The exhibition creates a dynamic dialogue between eight artists and the newly launched 3D ceramic Relief series by REFIN, forming a multi-sensory experience where design, substance, and emotion converge.
